With Melanie Foster from Germany and Sabine Grossenbacher from Switzerland, two enormously talented and innovative artists are presented to an international readership. Sabine Grossenbacher shows her expertise as master of the most intricate pen work using gold and other precious metals as well as the painter Melanie Foster (trained at the Fuerstenberg Manufactory) demonstrates her very delicate “watercolour” style. Melanie’s book on the art of painting roses appeared in the spring of 2008 and, for example, completely emphasizes the intention of the publisher – edition ars porcellana – who aims for authors who are particularly creative and have had experience in teaching. A further book will be added to this collection in June 2009 by the painter Paola Cenciarelli from Rome where she shows some brilliantly expressive interpretations of classic Italian art and oriental motifs – her typical style of painting. This artist has already received great recognition in Martigny and Como. In September 2009, a further book will follow, but this time about the classical techniques. It will not only offer the traditional painting, but will show the joint authors’, Petra and Joerg Kugelmeier, own very personalized version. Their separate works compliment each other perfectly when presenting their subjects such as birds and flower paintings as well as miniatures painted on beautiful porcelain eggs in the style of Carl Peter Fabergé.
